About the Cloisters
Located on the second floor of the Vassar College Main Library, the Media Cloisters is a do-it-yourself media production facility, with expert help available. All Vassar students, faculty, and community members may come here to work on video, audio, web and graphic design projects.
The Media Cloisters is dedicated to promoting and supporting the use of multimedia materials and tools for learning, teaching, and research. It is a gathering place for students, professors, librarians, information technologists and community members engaged in planning, evaluating and reviewing the efforts of research and study utilizing the whole range of technology literacies.
With connections to the Learning and Teaching Center, the Main Library, the Reference Desk, and Academic Computing Services, the Media Cloisters supports and advocates a relationship to technology in learning and teaching that is always informed by critical thinking.
